Polo, sport of kings, one of the deadliest, fastest, most synergistic sports on earth. The game has inspired me time and time again to try and capture the ferocity on canvas: the hot sweat and smell of horses pushing themselves to the limit, of men desperate to fulfill their egos with thousands of pounds of flesh, of other men who sweetly guide horses and ball to victory. These paintings capture games at the Santa Fe Polo and Santa Barbara Polo grounds.
